As time passes, The more world develops, the more environmental problems threatening our life increase. Chairwoman Zahng  Gil-jah ( 회장 장길자), the leader of Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (국제 위러브유 운동본부)always seeks the fundamental causes about those problems and put forth a multilateral effort into solving them, in cooperation with  other countries.

To complete the true human welfare ,specially for next generation  to live in the future world, Chairwoman Zahng  Gil-jah  takes a long view and establishes a long-term plan   concerning the environmental issues that we face now. This is it, “In a clean environment, clean life can be formed and true human welfare can be completed.”

That's the reason why the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  being led by Chairwoman Zahng  Gil-jah,  supports the students ,who are the protagonists to lead this age, to encourage environmental protection activities  at universities.  I give applause to her and the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation

The International  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  awarded scholarships to students from six different nations on May 23 to encourage environmental protection activities at universities around the world.
The 10 students from Korea, Bangladesh, Gabon, Germany, Indonesia and the Philippines came to Seoul National University to receive the $500 scholarships. Officials from Korea’s Ministry of Environment as well as foreign dignitaries including Gabonese Ambassador Carlos Boungou and Jakarta’s Director of Education Taufik Yudi Mulyanto also attended the conferment ceremony to support the students.

The students who received the scholarships also attended an International Green Campus Seminar to share ideas about ways to protect the environment from life-threatening problems such as climate change and global warming. They discussed and suggested environmental protection activities that university students could participate in on their own campuses.

The Intl.WeLoveU Foundation  gave the scholarships to university students to help implant environmental values in the hearts of the young. Encouraging the youth to become involved in environmental Welfare activities is a part of the Foundation’s Clean WORLD movement   . The Foundation states that: “In a clean environment, clean life can be formed and true human welfare can be completed.”

“As the global environment gets worse, many people of the world are suffering hardships due to diseases, water shortages and so on,” said Zahng Gil-jah, Chairwoman (회장 장길자) of the  Intl.WeLoveU Foundation

“In order to overcome this crisis of the earth and humankind, we will continue
to support and encourage the voluntary environmental protection activities
of university students who are the protagonists to lead this age.”

The foundation’s  Clean WORLD movement   is spreading to countries such as the U.S., U.K. and Australia, where more than 125,000 participants have helped clean up hills, rivers, seas and parks under the initiative.

The  Intl.WeLoveU Foundation   is a non-government organization which has been promoting welfare activities for children, youths, senior citizens and social welfare for neighbors in and out of Korea. It has given emergency relief to those who suffer from wars, famine, earthquakes and other disasters that take place in the world.

At the Green Campus Environment Seminar in March, the chairwoman of the Foundation, Zahng, and the president of Gabon, Ali-Ben Bongo, signed an agreement to cooperate on some of the serious international environmental issues. Approximately 250 university students in and out of Korea including Daejayon, which is a university student environmental group, attended the seminar.

The   Intl.WeLoveU Foundation  hopes to continue developing the environment welfare movement in Korea and around the world to raise awareness of volunteer service and encourage global citizens to participate in environmental activities.

"All WE NEED IS LOVE" - Children Suffering In Pain In The World
Intl. WeLoveU Foundation -국제위러브유운동본부

The  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  is the global welfare organization that is working to benefit the welfare of mankind.  The  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  was reborn out of the New Life Welfare Foundation which launched in 2001 and is making every effort for the reconciliation and friendliness of the world beyond the nationality, race, wealth and poverty, and religion. To the people suffering from war, famine, earthquake and so on, we assist in various and professional welfare activities--Child welfare, Youth welfare, Senior citizen welfare, Social welfare, Emergency relief and so on.

[2003.11.06 / New Life Welfare Foundation] Supporting  Vietnamese children
suffering from hereditary heart disease.

Early morning in November 6, 2003, a warm encountering happened at the Incheon International airport. Two Vietnamese children, Deuk(13) and Gguin(5) suffering from hereditary heart disease, visited Korea.

In Vietnam, there are many children who are suffering from heart disease but not properly treated because of undeveloped medical skills and heavy charges for operation. So, many sponsoring organizations, including Korea Child P Rotection Foundation, have been supporting the charges for operations for Vietnamese children with heart disease since 2001. As a result, 17 children have received a new life in Korea and went back home.

Deuk and Gguin could not also afford their surgery. However, as the  New Life Welfare Foundation, the Korea Child Protection Foundationand the Bucheon Sejong Hospital shared the charges for their operation, they could get the heart surgery in Korea for free. Even though they flew four hours by early morning flight, they looked cheerful, thinking of returning home with healthy body. Still, they looked pale  amid bright smiles. Deuk, who has come to Korea alone without being accompanied by his parents,  seems like being afraid of surgery, but is full of expectation that he will be able to play with his friends with a healthy body as he wishes.

Gguin expresses her thanks by saying that she would repay the grace she received by becoming a doctor and helping children with heart disease. She was given ac diagnosis of heart disease three months after she was born, but could not even afford to see doctor. Her mother, who had been heartbroken over her child growing little for her illness, said that she had never expected to heceive help from Korea even  though her own country could not help her. She expressed her thanks, saying that Korea is a warmhearted country.

She did not forget to express her gratitude to the  Chairwoman, Zahng Gil-jah (장길자 회장) of the  New Life Welfare Foundation  for granting her great love. Soon, Deuk  and Gguin will undergo operation. Even though the operation may be difficult and complicated because their illness is serious, we believe  that the children will endure and overcome it. We all wish them to be able to go back home with a bright and happy smile and run with their  friend on the ground

The worsening environmental situation is driving us into a dead end. It is no time for us to sit on our hands. When we meet someone in despair, we can say simply " Don't worry I am sure everything will be O.K for you " but if we don't do anything for them about their needs, what good is it for them?  Likewise, all We know that the environmental problems  are so serious now that our life is threatened by them. Then you know what we should do  ?  I am rooting for the  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation , Their Clean world movement is great help to inform  the importance of environmental protection  to people in the world  and to lead them to voluntarily participate in this movement.

" 2012 The  Clean World Movement Against Climate Change"

Intl.WeLoveU Foundation World Clean-Up Hosted in New York 2010
We will not stop the step of love, wishing the people of the world to participate in the Clean WORLD Movement

Climate change is a topic of conversation in the international society. In order to cope with unusual weather phenomenon that threaten human welfare, the people of the world throw themselves into the matter with enthusiasm, centering on the Rep. of Korea.

Recently, there have been severe damages from environmental disasters such as flood and heavy snow due to climate change. To prevent environmental pollution and fulfill human welfare, people of the world are going to carry out the environmental clean-up movement in the hills, rivers, streets, parks and seas of their countries.

It is the  "2012 Th CleaWorld Movement"   to be held throughout the world on the following Sunday (Apr 29), hosted by a global welfare organization, the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (Chairwoman Zahng Gil-Jah). This day will be a Clean Day when the whole world becomes clean.
It is very rare for an NGO, not a world or governmental organization, to perform such wide environmental clean-up activity to cope with climate change. The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation said, “Many people of each country gathered their mind to take the initiative and set an example of helping people in crisis due to climate disasters and making known the seriousness of climate change and environmental pollution,”and added, “In the clean environment, clean life can be formed and true human welfare can be completed. If more people of the world agree with and participate in this, it can be fulfilled.”
The Clean WORLD Movement is an environmental welfare activity with a new concept, which the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  expands worldwide, starting from the Rep. Of Korea. The  " WORLD "   is the combination of the initials of Water, Oxygen, Region, Life, and Descendants, and contains the meaning that we should preserve clean water, oxygen, region and life that consist of global environment and leave them to our descendants.

According to this meaning, the  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation   is actively proceeding with the environmental clean-up and welfare activities, considering that the environment and welfare are closely related with each other, not separate.

This time,  "Clean WORLD movement"  is going to be carried out throughout Korea, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, Gyeongsang, Jeju, and so on including Seoul and capital area and each continent of the world ? in North America including USA and Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa. The  clean-up   activities are carried out freely in the hills, rivers, seas, parks, historical sites and streets according to each local circumstance. Not only the   Intl. WeLoveU Foundation   members but also their families, friends and neighbors will participate in it and public offices like city hall, town office, and borough office of each region are also going to take part in it. This will be a great help to inform the importance of environmental protection to citizens.
In Washington DC's very own Shepard's Park the movement will be held. Approximately 200 WeLoveU members from DC, Richmond, Virginia Beach and North Carolina will come to aid residents and locals who have constantly battled illegal dumping in and around their homes. Shepard's Park is known for it's leading value in the enhancement of diversity since the years following World War II and through this movement, the International WeLove U Foundation, would like to shine the light in DC starting in Shepard's Park to the whole WORLD in hopes that each and every resident will care to MOVE and make our communities a better place.
"Clean WORLD movement"  that the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation performs is carried out around the world every year. For example, the foundation developed the clean-up activities in the hills, rivers, parks, and streets in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Singapore, Nepal, Mongolia, etc. in 2010. In Korea, too, clean-up activities were carried out in about 300 regions ? Jungrang Strem in Seoul, Daebu Islan in Gyeonggi, Anyang Stream, Incheon Port, Sokcho beach, Mt. Palgong in Daegu, Traditional Korean House Village in Jeongju, Geumnamro park ini Gwangju, etc. Many people including workers, university students, housewives, middle and high school students participated in the Clean WORLD Movement, holding garbage bags, burlap bags and tongs on holiday. Seeing this, even nearby residents helped carry garbage and do clean-up activity. Children and teenagers who came with their families had the opportunity to experience volunteer activities, and adults like workers, university students and housewives who usually find it difficult to do volunteer service due to their daily busy work said that they felt great to participate in the environmental protection.
Their active volunteer service was reported on the news media in Mongolia, Cambodia, Nepal, etc. The Cambodian TV broadcasted the Clean WORLD Movement, delivering positive reviews, “The clean-up  enabled tourists and residents to pleasantly use the Mekong River which had been full of trash and debris and provided a good opportunity to inform the Phnom Penh citizens of the importance of the environmental protection”
The WeLoveU Foundation said, “Some changes through the  "Clean WORLD movement"  appear little in every country. Not only in less developed countries and developing countries, but also in advanced countries like USA and Germany of which social security system is comparatively organized well, civic awareness changed - citizens take action to protect environment. In Europe, the clean-up started in Germany and Netherlands, and gradually expanded to more regions and nearby countries like England, France and Italy.”
Zahng Gil-jah (장길자 회장) Chairwoman of the  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation    said, “Though everyone has busy daily work, if many people put their short time and little effort in this at the same time, the whole world can be clean. We will not stop the step of love, wishing the people of the world to participate in the Clean WORLD Movement all together and make the world better and beautiful.”

The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation    Develops Global Welfare Activity Through  “Mother's Love”

The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation develops various welfare activities such as child welfare, youth welfare, senior citizen welfare, social welfare, emergency relief and so on for the people of the world who are suffering from wars, famine, earthquakes, etc. with the purpose of the fulfillment of human welfare with Mother's Love.
The WeLoveU Foundation carries out welfare activities in “Mother's Love”various fields: the New Life Family Walkathon that started to help children with heart disease and incurable diseases and extended in size by helping other countries with Water Shortage, the New Life Concert that supports neighbors in need in and outside the country and Multicultural families, etc. and the Blood Drive that helps patients in danger of their lives due to blood supply shortage. Being moved by their constant and heartfelt volunteer activities for our global neighbors, participants increases every year and experts in every field including officials of local government and ambassadors of other countries like Ghana, Cambodia, Gabon, etc. have been participating in it.

On March 26th, when the Gabonese President visited Rep. Of Korea to attend the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, the   Intl. WeLoveU Foundation   signed an agreement with the Gabonese Republic in the Middle West of Africa to cope with global climate change and to take action for environmental welfare activities together. It is very rare for a head of a country, who made a state visit to Korea, to make an agreement with a head of NGO in person. That day, Gabon's President Ali-Ben Bongo Ondimba said to the WeLoveU, “You are the protagonists who take responsibility of the future of Korea. Let us maintain a better relationship from now on.”

The  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  is going to hold the “14th New Life Family Walkathon to Help Climate Refugees Around the World”with about 12,000 participants in the Olympic Park, Seoul on May 13. It is expected to help climate refugees who are in danger of their lives because of environmental disasters including the people of Tuvalu, an island country in the South Pacific Ocean, which is gradually sinking into the sea as the sea level is rising due to global warming, climate change and so on.

Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba Complimented Daejayon Members on Their Green Movement

The “Green Campus Environmental Seminar With the President of Gabon” was held last Monday at Olympia Hall in Seoul Olympic Parktel. It was co-hosted by  Daejayon [International Association of University Students for Environmental Movement, President Kim Yong-gab:김용갑) and the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah :장길자회장)
250 people including Daejayon  President Kim  Yong-gab, Intl. WeLoveU Foundation Chairwoman  Zahng Gil-jah  and the board of directors, foreign exchange students, and  Daejayon  members who are working for Green Campus Movement attended the seminar.
The Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba who was in Korea to participate in the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit attended the seminar. He was accompanied by the Gabon’s foreign minister, investment minister, energy minister and deputy minister as well as by Park Sang-chul the chief of presidential security and Garlos Boungou the Gabon’s ambassador to Korea.
The seminar proceeded in a friendly atmosphere from beginning to end. When President Ondimba entered the hall, Daejayon members welcomed him with cheers and applause.  Daejayon  members presented the song, “Right Now, Right Here” that they composed by themselves, meaning, “We have to start the environmental movement right now and right here as soon as we realize.” The beautiful melody of the song impressed all people in the hall.
President Ondimba thanked Daejayon for inviting him and complimented various Green Movements of  Daejayon.  He also wanted to keep maintaining a friendly friendship with Daejayon .
“The fact that you are putting forth an effort into solving environmental problems despite your young age shows that you have mature civic awareness. I believe that this is the thing that the world must know and work on together. I give sincere compliment to you for your global environmental movement,” said the president.
“Gabon has abundant natural resources such as oil and natural gas, and has iron mines and manganese mines and so on. And the 80 percent of the whole area is covered with the forests of Congo Basin—the second lung of the earth. We can expect a better life only when we focus on environmental conservation as well as the development of the nation. Based on the three strategic pillars—green Gabon, industrial Gabon and Gabon of service, we will jump up to the level of an emerging country in the next 15 years,” he said.
He also added, “I hope this meaningful event today in Seoul will lead to relationship between Daejayon and Gabonese government, especially the youth of Gabon. I believe your Green School, Green Campus and Green World projects will be settled perfectly in Gabon. Please deliver your outstanding experience, knowledge and leadership to the youth of Gabon.”
It is reported that President  Ali Bongo Ondimba  made time and took part in the seminar despite his busy schedule. It is very unprecedented that a foreign summit meets an NGO individually during the state visit. In addition, it becomes one of the issues because the foreign summit made the friendly partnership to solve country’s environmental problems not with the governmental organization but with the university students.
“The Gabonese president considered attending the seminar since he planned his schedule to visit Korea to participate in the Nuclear Security Summit. Especially, the president suggested first to meet the members of  Daejayon  who are carrying out the environmental movement on a global scale. I think this would pave the way for introducing the Green Campus Movement of Korea to the world and for spreading the movement in Africa including Gabon,” Kim Jae-gyoon the general manager of Daejayon said.
The university students who took part in the seminar said, “It is very encouraging that a national leader has interest in the environmental problems and makes environmental policies.” Jung Soo-jin (Senior of Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies) said, “I feel friendly to Africa. And I feel confident that the world can be changed if the youth in the world share the environmental issues and make effort together. I will try to spread the Green Campus Movement of  Daejayon  to the whole world.”
Besides, President Ondimba met the  Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  Chairwoman  Zahng Gil-jah  who is carrying out the environmental welfare programs through the Clean World Movement. The Gabonese government and the   Intl. WeLoveU Foundation  signed the agreement on the joint action against international environmental problems.
“Green Campus Movement” that President Ondimba takes great interest and expectation in is the activities that universities save energy, reduce the green house gases and change campus into the low carbon green society.  Daejayon  is the major NGO carrying out the Green Campus Movement on a global scale. Moreover, Daejayon is drawing attention because of their activities together with private organizations, city governments and governmental organizations, not being limited to universities.

‘Mother’s Love’ for Climate Change Refugees

Intl. WeLoveU Foundation -국제 위러브유 운동본부
[led by Chairwoman Zahng gil jah]

I am sure that if the countries all over the world join forces with one another, we will able to solve the current global environmental crisis. Hand in Hand, Heart to Heart, be united in "Mother's Love".

By Kirsty Taylor in Seoul/The Korea Herald | Asia News Network
 – Thu, Apr 26, 2012

More than 12,000 people are expected to walk through "Seoul on May 13" to raise awareness of climate change refugees.

-"What is truly needed in our society
 is a warm heart,
that is, LOVE"-
The annual walkathon organized by the  International We Love U Foundation will start at Olympic Park in Songpa-dong at 10 a.m. Ambassadors and organizations including   Daejayon  student environmental group is also set to participate in the walk that President Lee Myung-bak and other celebrities have joined in the past. The Korea-based International We Love U Foundation  operates with the lofty goal of sharing the mother’s love of founder   Zahng Gil-jah (장길자 회장) with all mankind.
Founded in 1995, the organization now has 70,000 members with 43 branches in Korea and 30 international branches across seven continents.

Its current "Clean WORLD movement" aims at environmental and humanitarian goals with WORLD standing for Water, Oxygen, Region, Life, and Descendants.

“The meaning of ‘Clean World’ is to think about how to make everyone feel happy. If everything is clean all people will think it is beautiful and feel happy,” explained general manager Lee Sung-an.

“First, our hearts should be clean and then the environment should be clean, sharing love with our neighbors should also be clean.”
Lee said that the international programs including providing water pumps to Asian and African nations, planting trees to clean the air, donating blood and providing medical care were changing people’s lives and mindsets.

“We have done activities all over the world, so many people have changed their thinking to become clean. In America, originally the people were a little individualistic but after this movement they can feel love with their families.“In ASEAN, it was a little lazy, but after this movement … many governments and official offices are participating in this movement now.

“In Europe, before only the government took part in environmental movements, but after   "Clean  WORLD movement"  , citizens were taking part too.”
The organization also runs many projects in Korea including visiting senior citizens living alone and assisting multicultural families.
“The purpose of this foundation is to give mother’s love and make the world become one.

“Times are changing so our activities are also changing to reflect this.
Before we were helping with food or expenses but now we have many medical and environmental branches,” Lee said.

Now, sadly, child crime and violence is increasing.
To change this, we provide education for children. Kids also take part in the movement to help them to become more kind.

“All the people that participate in the movement feel happy and they become clean. They are changed by the movement.”

Last year’s walk promoted the foundation’s water pump projects in Africa and Asia, but Lee explained that environmental catastrophes had prompted them to help climate refugees.

“The U.N. is helping (political) refugees but no one helped the climate refugees so they are in need of our support. It is possible that in future all nations can have climate refugees so this is a very important subject.”
The ambassadors of Gabon and Ghana have confirmed they will join the event, and organizers are expecting the attendance of some government ministers.
